What AgentShoppable does
AgentShoppable tests whether AI shopping agents can find, understand, add to cart and reach checkout on a Shopify or WooCommerce store. It reads a store's public storefront the way an agent would, and, when a merchant installs the Shopify app, reads and (on request) edits product data through the Shopify Admin API.
What we collect
- Store data. Public catalog data (products, variants, prices, availability, images, policies) and, for installed Shopify apps, the same data through the Admin API plus fields that are not public (barcodes, image alt text, product type). We keep scan results, per-product findings and the fixes you apply, with before and after values so every change can be undone.
- Merchant account data. The shop domain, store name and the contact email Shopify provides at install. For the free public scanner: the email you enter to unlock a report.
- Access tokens. The Shopify Admin API token for your store, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). It is deleted when you uninstall.
- Technical data. Request logs and a hashed IP address used only for rate limiting the free scanner.
We do not collect your customers' personal data. Scans create at most one test cart, which is cancelled, and never place an order. Payment for the Store plan is handled by Shopify; we never see card details.
How we use it
- To run scans, simulations and fixes you request, and scheduled rescans you turn on.
- To email you the reports you unlocked and, if you keep a store on a schedule, changes in its readiness. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To operate, secure and improve the service. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, the share of stores that pass a check) may be published.
Buyer Simulator runs send product text from your store to Anthropic's Claude API to act as a shopper. That text is treated as untrusted content and is not used to train models under our agreement with Anthropic.
Who we share it with
Only processors needed to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, US East), Resend (email), Anthropic (Buyer Simulator), Shopify (billing and the Admin API). We do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the Shopify app revokes and deletes the access token immediately. Scan history is kept for 90 days after uninstall, then deleted, unless you ask sooner. We honour Shopify's mandatory shop/redact, customers/redact and customers/data_request webhooks (the last two are acknowledged; we hold no customer data). Free-scanner leads can unsubscribe with one click or ask for deletion at the address below.
Security
All traffic is TLS. Tokens are encrypted with a key that never leaves the server environment. Every write to a store is recorded in an audit log with its previous value.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time. EU/UK and California residents have the rights their laws provide; we apply the same to everyone.
